Annabelle S. Loos, age 96, of Dover, and formerly of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully early Friday afternoon, April 24, 2009, in New Dawn Health Care Center at Dover. Born at New Philadelphia, April 9, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Flora Anderegg Espenschied.Annabelle was a resident of New Philadelphia for most of her life. She attended school there, and was a member of the First United Church of Christ, and the ladies Ruth Circle of the church.She’ll be remembered for her longtime service in the former Cherry’s Pharmacy in New Philadelphia, and for her fast-paced walks through Tuscora Park, which neighbored her home. Survivors include her daughter; Carol (Robert) Royer of Strasburg, and two sons; Carl R. (Ginny) Loos and Donald H. (Annabelle) Loos, both of Dover. Eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren complete the family. In addition to her parents, Annabelle is preceded in death by her husband; H. George Loos, who died October 24, 1969, two sisters; Pauline Busby and Helen Valentine, as well as two brothers; Roy and Harold Espenschied. Annabelle requested that her service be private. Interment will follow, alongside her husband, in East Avenue Cemetery. To share memories and condolences with the family, please visit the funeral home’s website.
