Anna Ricker-Brannen, 91, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, December 21, 2005 in Union Hospital in Dover.A daughter of the late Celeste and Clementina (Ballardini) Bertolini, Anna was born October 5, 1914 in Barnhill, Ohio.She attended Sunnyvale School in the Midvale area and was formerly employed at Litty’s Pastries in New Philadelphia for 22 ½ years.Anna was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Philadelphia and was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Dover Eagles. She also was an avid supporter of the Cleveland Indians and enjoyed watching the games on television.She is survived by one daughter, Sue Ann (Ralph) Aguiar of Cooper City, Florida; one son, William C. (Lana) Ricker of Parrall; two grandsons, Jeff (Mindy) Ricker of Uhrichsville and Jason (Jacinda) Ricker of New Philadelphia and four great-grandchildren, Chase, Emilie, Mackenzie and Andrew Ricker.Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Donald W. Ricker who died in 1961; her second husband, William F. Brannen who died in 1978; four brothers and four sisters.Friends and family may call at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia on Monday, December 26, 2005 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Christian Wake Service being held at 4:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Philadelphia with Monsignor George Schlegel officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia. A memorial reception will be held in the Geib Family Center in New Philadelphia following the services.Memorial contributions may be made in Anna’s name to the Tuscarawas County Senior, 425 Prospect Street, Dover, OH 44663.
