Anna Mae Gribble, 79, of Lakeland, FL, and formerly of Midvale, died August 2, 2012 in Lakeland Regional Medical Center, following a period of declining health.
Born April 10, 1933 in Midvale, she was the daughter of the late Archie E. and Anna V. (Moore) Royer. Anna Mae was a 1951 graduate of Midvale High School.
She was employed at Landmark and the Goshen Dairy, both for 9 years each. She also was an active member of Roxford United Methodist Church, where she was president of the Seekers Class for 5 years. Anne Mae served as president of the Happy Keggler bowling league, the Midvale P.T.O., and participated with Helping Hands 2 days per week.
Anna Mae is survived by her children Sherry Alvarez of New Philadelphia and George Gribble of Lakeland, FL; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother; two brothers, Harold and Eugene Royer; her sister, Betty Roman; her great-grandson, Juanito; and her former husband, Robert Gribble.
Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. A service celebrating her life will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Thursday beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover. A reception will follow the committal service in Roxford Life Center.
