Anna Louise Roush, 81, of New Philadelphia, passed away late Saturday evening, May 14, 2005, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.Born in Dennison, OH, on July 26, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Dixon and Mary Elizabeth (Gowins) McElvoy.In addition to her love of gardening, Ann will long be remembered for her passion of shopping, socializing with others, traveling throughout the country, and dining in restaurants throughout the area and country.Ann will be sadly missed by her husband, Robert E. Roush of New Philadelphia; her children, Judith D. (Jerry) Westbrook of New Philadelphia and Victor (Janice) Walters of Clearwater, Florida; grandchildren, Kimberly A. (Dave) Gregg of Gnadenhutten, Victoria Lynn (Scott) Boyer of New Philadelphia, Jerry Dale Westbrook, Jr. of Tusky, Stephanie (Damion) Caricello and Andrea (Douglas) Patterson, both of Atlanta, Georgia, and Joshua Walters of Tampa, Florida; step-children, Roberta (David) Dayton of Strasburg, Rita Widder of Uhrichsville, and Randy P. (Kimberly) Roush of Gahanna; and a great-granddaughter, Amanda Renee Brink of New Philadelphia.In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her first husband Victor E. Walters, Sr. in 1969, her son, Ralph Eugene Walters in 1981, and a step-son-in-law, Frank Widder.Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 17, in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A service celebrating Ann’s life will be held Wednesday at 10:30 in the First Assembly of God with her son, Victor Walters, officiating. A committal service will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. Friends and family are invited back to the church after burial where a meal will be served by her church family.The family requests memorial contributions be made in Ann’s memory to the First Assembly of God, 742 Cookson Ave. SE, New Philadelphia, OH, 44663.
