Anna Debevec

Anna A. Debevec, 102, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Park Village Southside at New Philadelphia, following a period of declining health.

 Born in New Philadelphia, Anna was a daughter of the late Walter and Anna (Duda) Nosack and was a 1939 graduate of New Philadelphia High School.

 Anna married Tony Debevec on September 27, 1941.  Together they enjoyed 51 years of marriage before his passing in March of 1993.

 She worked for 32 years in sales, retiring from Stanley Home Products.  In her free time Anna was active in the Sacred Heart Altar Society, Women of the Moose, VFW Auxiliary, the Tuscarawas County Historical Society, and the 380^th Bomber Group Association.  She also enjoyed quilting, collecting items from her many trips and dancing with Tony.  But her greatest love was caring for her family.

 Anna is survived by her children, JoAnn Debevec of New Philadelphia, Donna (Harry) Crowell of New Philadelphia, Rita (James) Kohl of New Philadelphia, and Marvin (Sherry) Debevec of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Angela Conley, Greg Johns, David Johns, Stephanie Staggers, Michelle (Pete) Ash, Melanie Crowell, Mathew Crowell, Ashley (Andrew) Smith, Tyler Kohl, Kerry (Jon) Schmidt, Christopher Debevec, and Evan Debevec; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony; brothers, Frank “Pat” Nosack, and Tony Nosack; and sister, Mary Rosenberry.

 The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia where a service celebrating Anna’s life will begin at 2:30 PM with Father Jeff Coning officiating. Anna will be inurned with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
