Ann Marie (Stefani) Spaugh, age 86, of Country Club Apartments at Dover, died Thursday, January 08, 2015, in Union Hospital following a sudden illness.
A daughter of the late, Samuel H. and Edith (Besozzi) Bonifant, Ann was born at New Philadelphia on August 9, 1928.
She was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and was a longtime employee of the former Reeves Bank; and following their merger, Ann ultimately retired from Huntington Bank.
Ann loved to travel, especially if the travel plans included the destinations of Las Vegas and Reno. She enjoyed oil painting, watching Hallmark movies, and playing BINGO. Additionally, she had a lifelong love for animals, particularly dogs and cats. Ann also found great joy in attending various events with her family and spending time with each of them.
She is survived by her children, Kathy (James) Walton of Dover, Gene (Kathy) Stefani of New Philadelphia and Greg (Karen) Stefani of Rocky River, Ohio; her grandchildren, Shane Walton of New York, New York, Lindsay Walton of Canton, Ryan Stefani , Kristi (Don) Clum all of New Philadelphia and Garrett and Leah Stefani both of Rocky River, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Bonifant, who lost his life while serving in Vietnam; and her husband, James Spaugh.
In keeping with Ann’s wishes there will not be any public visitation or service. Private burial will take place in the Dover Burial Park. Cremation care is being handled through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
