Linda Ankrom

Linda Ankrom, age 59, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, in University Hospital at Cleveland.A daughter of the late Roy H. and Sarah J. (Percy) Jones, Linda was born on October 17, 1949 at Alliance, Ohio.For many years, Linda found great joy in caring for the many cats and wildlife animals that she befriended. Additionally, she found joy in fishing, playing board games, and participating in a good game of Yahtzee with her friends and family.Linda also enjoyed the companionship and interactions with those she met as a long-time patron of Sam’s Club at Downtown New Philadelphia.She is survived by her four children, Earl (Amy) Ankrom, Jeff Ankrom, Charles (Denise) Ankrom, and Lorinda Ankrom; brothers and sisters, Wayne “Butch” (Vickie) Jones, Roy H. Jones, Jr, Sandra Holmes, Charlotte (Lonnie) Deems, Larry Jones, Charlie (Linda) Jones, and Dale Jones.Thirteen grandchildren, Anastasia, Grace, Rebekah, Christian, Bethany, Felicity, Ryan, Charles, Keerstin, Corey, Shane, Roman, and Jeffrey; one great-grandson, Nathan; and numerous nieces and nephews complete the family.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a nephew, Matthew Jones; an infant niece, Kelly Jones; and a brother-in-law, Tom Holmes.In keeping with Linda’s wishes, cremation care was handled through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover. A memorial service for Linda will be led by her son, Pastor Earl Ankrom, on Friday, April 3, 2009, at 1:30 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Inurnment will follow in the East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
