Angela Jean Howard, 70, of Warwick Manor, died Friday, February 2, 2018 in Cleveland Clinic following a period of declining health.
Born at Dover, Ohio on May 19, 1947, Angela was a daughter of the late Amico “Mike” Fischio and Eleanor (DePastino) Fischio.
Angela was a 1965 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and very involved in land management businesses throughout her life. She was employed by Gatherco Inc., was the founder of the Tuscarawas Valley Desk and Derrick Club, the Greater Appalachian Basin of Lease and Title Analyst, and a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen. Most recently, she had founded her own land firm, Howard Land Services.
Angela was also an active member of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association, the Tuscarawas County Democratic Party and was a former Past President of the Young Democrats. She was recently inducted into the Ohio Oil and Gas Association Hall of Fame.
She is survived by her sister, Elvira Eberly of Midvale; two sons, Michael Harris of New Philadelphia and William (Lorri) Howard of Woodstock, Georgia; her grandchildren, Brianna, Landon, Taylor and Braedon Harris, and Noah and Rylan Howard. Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins complete the family.
In addition to her parents, Angela was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Leroy Eberly.
In keeping with Angela’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 beginning at 3 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A meal will be held in the Midvale United Methodist Church following the service.
Memorial contributions in Angela’s name may be directed to the American Heart Association or the Desk and Derrick Scholarship Fund.
