Andrew B. Mast, 82, of Walnut Creek died Sunday, July 6, 2003, at 9:15 a.m. in the Cleveland Clinic after an extended illness.Born July 13, 1920, he was a son of the late Ura and Mary Schlagenhauf Mast.He retired as owner of Mast Leather Products at Walnut Creek and also started Lamflo Corporation and the Valley Voyager.He was a member of Ragersville Zion United Church of Christ where he served as Elder, Deacon, Trustee and was a member of the building committee. He was a member of the Atwood Yacht Club and a former member of Ohio Commodores. Andy was instrumental in establishing the Walnut Creek Development Corp., which brought a variety of services to the village of Walnut Creek, including banking, medical and retail services.He is survived by his wife, the former Norma Hisrich Blosser, whom he married June 16, 1976. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Phil (Judy) Rosenik of North Canton and Ann Rohn of Canton; two sons, John (Mary Ann) Mast of Stone Creek and Mike (Sherry) Blosser of Orrville; 11 grandchildren, David and Katharine Mast, Stephanie and Rachel Rosenik, Mitch, Amy, April, Shawn and Amber Blosser, Bobbi Jo Weaver, and Melissa Rohn; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Laura M. Kaser of Walnut Creek.He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Mast.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Ragersville Zion United Church of Christ at Ragersville. Revs. Edward Morrison and David Williams will officiate, and burial will follow in Ragersville Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Ragersville Zion United Church of Christ and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. The family requests that memorials be made to the Ragersville Zion United Church of Christ at Ragersville. Smith-Geib Funeral Home in Sugarcreek is handling the arrangements.
