Amy M. Ellars, 23, of Plain City, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 12, 2008 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.A daughter of Douglas Ellars and Michelle (Tinker) Hegenberger, Amy was born April 20, 1984 at Columbus, Ohio.Amy graduated from Hilliard Darby High School in 2002. She continued her formal education at Everest Institute at Gahanna, Ohio where she graduated in January 2007 with a degree in Medical Assisting.She is survived by her father, Douglas (Debbie) Ellars of Grove City, Ohio; her mother, Michelle (Paul) Hegenberger of Plain City, Ohio; her three year old son, Amarian Ellars; two half sisters, Danielle Ellars and Jamie (Dwayne) Walton and a half brother, Corey Ellars all of Grove city, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Charles “Larry” and Arlene Tinker III of Dallas, Georgia; paternal grandparents, Forrest and Janet Ellars of Florida; step grandparents, Paul and Nancy Hegenberger of Powell, Ohio; an aunt, Sheila Stone of Columbus; uncles, Todd (Susan) Tinker of Dallas, Georgia; Danny (Joni) Ellars of Plain City, Ohio and Rodney (Teresa) Ellars of Columbus, Ohio; great aunt, Lillian (Clyde) Penrod of Brightwood; great uncles, Robert R. Tinker of Dania, Florida and Arnold (June) Zontini Jr of Fairfield, Kentucky; cousins, Ashley and Catie Tinker both of Dallas, Georgia, Ronald Golder and friend Sherry Wickliff of Columbus, Ohio, Greg (Kim) Zontini of Brightwood, Kelly (Dave) Mehl of Fairfield, Kentucky and Lisa (John) Sutton of Covington, Louisiana as well as many other extended family members.Family and friends may call on Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia with Monsignor Schlegel officiating.
