Amanda M. Miller, age 90, of Millersburg, died peacefully early Wednesday, January 30, 2013.
Born at Trail, April 5, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Manassas N. and Lovina Miller Weaver.
A longtime resident of Benton, Mrs. Miller resided in Holmes County her entire life with the exception of four years in Blackville, SC. She was a charter member of Gospel Haven Mennonite Church, and her late husband, Jonas E. Miller was the founding minister.
Survivors include three sons and three daughters; Aden J. Miller of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Betty (James) Hershberger of Stuarts Draft, VA, Marvin (Janice) Miller of Walnut Creek, Katy (Roy) Yoder of Benton, Ervin (Erma) Miller of Ephrata, PA and Frieda (Dan) Mast of Benton. A daughter-law, Barbara Miller of Kidron, and a foster-daughter Mary Jo (Mark) Collins of Columbia, SC, also survives.
30 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren complete the family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miller is preceded in death by her husband whom she wed November 6, 1941 at Trail. They observed nearly 43 years of marriage before his death on Oct 19 1984. Five brothers and three sisters; Joseph Weaver, Emma Miller, Katie Weaver, Andy Weaver, Mary Weaver, and Levi Weaver, Daniel Weaver and Enos Weaver, and one grandchild, Wesley Hershberger, are also deceased.
The family will receive friends both Thursday, January 31, from 6-8 PM and Friday, February 1, from 2-4 and from 6-8 PM in the Gospel Haven Mennonite Church 6871 St. Rt. 241 at Benton.
Minister Sam Yoder will lead services for Mrs. Miller Saturday morning at 10 AM in the church.
Burial will follow alongside her husband in Gospel Haven Cemetery, adjacent to the church.
A luncheon reception will follow the interment in the church fellowship hall.

The family is grateful for the care and concern expressed by Wayne County Hospice especially LPN Angie, and by Mrs. Miller’s two talented Home Health caregivers; Shawna Holt and Tammy Moorhead.
