Alisa Kay Sayre, age 32, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in her residence.
Born in Dover on June 21, 1988, she was the daughter of Mark Randall “Randy” Sayre of New Philadelphia and the late Diane Kay (Newton) Sayre.
Alisa was a student at Indian Hills Christian School, graduated from New Philadelphia High School and completed her education at Tusco Beauty School. Shortly after receiving her cosmetology license, Alisa developed breast cancer, had a double mastectomy and has been a survivor and fighter since 2015.
Additionally, Alisa loved reading, was obsessed with sharks and she loved watermelon. Of course she enjoyed the beach, too! Most importantly, Alisa was a loving and devoted caregiver to her father.
She is survived by her father, Randy Sayre of New Philadelphia; her big sister, Randi Kay Sayre of Naples, Florida; aunts, Michelle Milliken, Kathy Fichel, Linda Sampsel, and Paula Metcalf; cousin, Kelli Milliken; uncle, Steve (Karen) Sayre; numerous cousins; and her and her dad’s dog, Dani.
In addition to her mother, Diane, Alisa was preceded in death by her cousin, Brendan Milliken; grandparents, Norman and JoAnn Sayre; and her uncle, David Sayre.
Friends are invited to call Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center, 5600 N. Wooster Avenue at Dover. A private service will be held in the funeral home on Monday beginning at 1:30 p.m. Burial beside Alisa’s mom will follow in Dover Burial Park.
