Alice Marie Morris

Alice Marie Morris, age 86, of Uhrichsville, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, in Twin City Hospital at Dennison.
Born at Uhrichsville, November 29, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Lulu VanFossen Pritchard.
Alice lived her life as a Christian as a member of the Uhrichsville Church of Christ. She was employed by the former Daniels Dress Shop and the former Jean Frocks before she began her career as a location manager for the Harcatus nutrition center until her retirement in 1990.
Survivors include a daughter, Joanne (Gary) Austin of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren, Randy (Sharla) Simmers of Phoenix, Arizona, Ronnie Simmers of Dover, Shannon Brown of Brumfield, Colorado, and Heather Holtz of Phoenix, Arizona; seven great-grandchildren, Ryan and Shyna Simmers, Ronnie J. Simmers, Shylo and Joshua Brown, Steven and Marie Holtz; four great-great-grandchildren; two nieces, Charlotte Morris and Linda Ervin; three nephews, Danny, Vance, and Vaughn Morris; and her longtime special friend, LaVonne Barker also of Uhrichsville.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Morris in 1985, and her brother, Donald Corder.
Friends are invited to call Thursday, July 6, 2006 from 4 until 7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where Tim Reeves will lead services Friday afternoon at 2PM in the funeral home’s chapel. Burial will follow alongside her husband in Evergreen Burial Park.
