Albert John Dummermuth

Albert John Dummermuth, 78, of Tuscarawas, died Friday, January 03, 2014 in Park Village Health Care at Dover following a period of declining health.

A son of the late Simon and Mildred Dummermuth, Albert was born in his childhood home in Crooked Run on January 1, 1936.

Albert was a longtime construction worker having been employed with Hathaway Construction at Coshocton. He also enjoyed concrete work in his spare time.

He enjoyed fishing and turtle hunting and ultimately making turtle soup. He was an avid talker which eventually led to “BS” and he also enjoyed spending time in his garage and hanging out with his cat.

Surviving is his wife, Jane (Beamer) Dummermuth; his sons, David Dummermuth of Stillwater and John (Sally) Dummermuth of Uhrichsville; two grandchildren, Jacey and Jacob Dummermuth; his siblings, Sally (Ted) Lahmers of Dover, Linda (Hershel) Patrick of Ashland, Jerry Dummermuth of New Philadelphia and Bob (Billy Jo) Dummermuth of Stone Creek and many nieces and nephews.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, John Albert and another son, Paul Albert.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
