Albert J. Huyghe

Albert J. Huyghe, Jr., 81, of Uhrichsville, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 in Union Hospital following a brief illness.A son of the late Albert Huyghe, Sr. and the late Rosa (DeVaux) Huyghe, Albert was born September 12, 1925 at Irondale, Ohio.Albert graduated from Toronto High School in 1943 and on August 29, 1947, he married the love of his life, the former Lil Grimm. Together, Albert and Lil raised two sons, Jeffrey and Mark.He was employed by the former Peerless Clay Plant at Toronto, Ohio. Albert and his family then moved to Uhrichsville where he went to work for Superior Clay. He retired from the clay industry after 46 years of service.Albert was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Uhrichsville as well as a member of the Masonic Mystic Tie Lodge #194 at Dennison. He was also a member of the Dennison Eagles Lodge #582.He is survived by his loving wife, Lil Huyghe, with whom he would have shared 60 years of marriage this August, one son Mark Huyghe and his wife Cindy of Uhrichsville; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Huyghe of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Rob) Crouse, Marine Corps Sgt. Jason (Tara) Huyghe, who is serving over seas and Alicia Huyghe; two great-grandchildren, Katelyn Crouse and Nathan Huyghe; numerous nieces and nephews and his faithful companion, Mitzi.Albert was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jeffrey, who passed away on February 15, 1994; one sister, Blanche Householder and two brothers, Eugene and Louis Huyghe.Family and friends may call on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. At 8 p.m., the Mystic Tie Lodge #194 will honor Albert by conducting a Masonic service. A funeral service celebrating Albert’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Rev. Sarah Cerreto officiating. Burial will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Sugar Grove Cemetery at Sugar Grove, Ohio.Memorial contributions may be made Albert’s memory to the First United Methodist Church, P.O.
