Albert Arthur Krebs Jr., 84, of Dover, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 at his home following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s, as well as a short battle with cancer.
The son of the late Albert Arthur Krebs Sr. and the late Mary Elizabeth (Pavlov) Krebs, Albert was born June 8, 1931 at Akron, Ohio.
Albert was a veteran of the United States Air Force and honorably served his country from June 15, 1949 to November 21, 1952. He was an accomplished pianist who especially enjoyed classical music. Albert also enjoyed golfing in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary (Sears) Krebs; his children, Diane (Bill) Knotts of Dover, Mark Krebs of California, Linda (Dave) Petell of New Hampshire, Deborah (Daniel) LeBlanc of Louisiana, Karen French of Strasburg and Patricia Pray of Dover; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Julianne (Burrel) Fulcher of Texas and many nieces and nephews.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marilyn Strunk.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A funeral service celebrating Albert’s life will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Father Jeff Coning and Pastor Dan Legg officiating. In keeping with Albert’s wishes, cremation will follow the services.
