Adelyle Van Buskirk, 90, of New Philadelphia, died Friday, November 13, 2009 in Union Hospital at Dover.A daughter of the late Fred Reinhardt and the late Pauline (Morgan) Frazier, Adelyle was born March 3, 1919 at Akron, Ohio.Adelyle was retired from Warner & Swasey where she worked in the purchasing department. In her younger years, Adelyle and her late husband, Howard Glenn Van Buskirk, operated a farm in Dundee. The farm was known as the site of Dundee Falls. She was an active member of the former Tusco Dog School and over the years she cared for many different breeds of dogs of her own. Adelyle enjoyed crafting as well as traveling with her family. She also had her pilot’s license along with her late husband and it was common for her to fly their Cessna from Harry Clever Airfield to places such as Pittsburgh in order to have a cup of coffee.Adelyle cherished her family and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.She is survived by her daughter, Wanda (Clarence) McRobie of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Jeffery (Marsha) McRobie of New Philadelphia, David (Karen) McRobie of Dover and Joseph (Karen) McRobie of Dundee; granddaughter-in-law, Irene McRobie, of Mt. Eaton; four great grandchildren, Seth, Kayla, Kevin and Wyatt McRobie and three brothers, Nelson Reinhardt of Senoia, Georgia, Jim (Lois) Reinhardt of Homerville, Ohio and Jan (Sandi) Reinhardt of The Villages, Florida.Completing the family is a daughter-in-law, Tassie (Van Buskirk) Morgan of Memphis, Tennessee; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren who also live in the Memphis area.Adelyle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard Glenn Van Buskirk; a son, Howard Glenn Van Buskirk II and a grandson, Douglas James McRobie.The family will receive guests on Monday, November 16, 2009 from 12 to 2 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Adelyle’s life will be held at 2 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Pastor Dwight Mason officiating. Burial will follow in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
