Adam Russell Baltzly, age 33, of Beach City, died Thursday afternoon, October 23, 2008, the result of a tragic motorcycle crash.Born at Massillon, September 25, 1975, he was one of three sons born to Wanda Ankrom Baltzly of Beach City, with whom he resided, and his father, Jim and wife Nancy Baltzly, also of Beach City.Adam was a 1993 graduate of Fairless High School. He attended Case Western Reserve University, then transferred to the Tuscarawas Campus of Kent State University, earning two associate degrees.At the time of his death, Adam was an employee of Dover Brake at Strasburg, and Baltzly Farms, where he worked alongside his father and brothers. His greatest passion was spending time with his nieces and nephews, whom he loved and doted on as if they were his own children. Adam cherished the time they spent together, whether playing Rock Band, making pizza, or just hanging out, he considered them his “little brothers and sisters”.He’ll be remembered by his two older brothers as “a guy who was always there for them, no matter what.”Adam was very proud of his John Deere â??B-, which he rebuilt, customized and took to the Dover Steam Show, as a proud member of the Tuscarawas Valley Pioneer Power Association. Additionally, he enjoyed riding his Buell motorcycle, whether traveling to and from work or just running errands.He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Beach City.In addition to his parents, Adam is survived by his older brothers; James and wife Carmen Baltzly, Joseph and wife Terri Baltzly, and his nieces and nephews, Christian, Meredith, Madison and Luke Baltzly all of Beach City, his maternal grandmother, Margie Ankrom of Bolivar, and his paternal grandmother, Ima Baltzly of Beach City.He’ll be sadly missed by his aunts and uncles; Elaine (Harold) Fahrni, John Baltzly, Robert (Suzanne) Baltzly, Rose Green, Terry, Mark and Dale Ankrom, Kim (Marsha) Ankrom, George (Penny) Ankrom, Harvey (Jill) Ankrom, Bruce (Jane) Ankrom, Patty (Gary) Kennedy, Gilbert Ankrom, Earl B. (June) Ankrom, and Joanne (Mark) Wengerd. Many, many cousins complete the family. Adam is preceded in death by his Grandfather’s Earl Ankrom and Russell Baltzly, and a cousin, Tim Ankrom. Friends are invited to call Sunday, October 26, from 1-4PM in the Geib Funeral Center at 5600 North Wooster Avenue, Dover. Cremation is planned, and a memorial service, lead by the Rev. David Craig, is set for Saturday, November 1, at 2PM in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church at Beach City. Those unable to attend are invited to share memories and condolences with the family by visiting Adam’s memorial on the funeral home’s website.
