Adam David Dursik, 27, of New Philadelphia went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 15, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A son of Harold and Kim I. (McCown) Dursik of Dover, Adam was born December 5, 1985 at Union Hospital in Dover.
Adam graduated from Dover High School in 2004, and was also in the culinary arts program at Buckeye Career Center. He then continued his education at the Ohio School of Broadcasting at Cleveland.
Being a person of strong faith, Adam was an active member of First Christian Church and New Pointe Community Church both at Dover. He was an enthusiastic sports fan and could often be found watching sports on television and also playing them on video games. He loved listening to music and simply hanging out with friends.
In addition to his parents, Adam is survived by his brother and sister-in-law; Erik and Amber Dursik of Columbus and their children, Noah, Maia and Kaleb; his grandmothers, Beverly McCown of Minerva and Deila Dursik of Uhrichsville; many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends and his cat, Simba who he dearly loved.
Adam was preceded in death by his grandfathers, David McCown and Frank Dursik.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A funeral service celebrating Adam’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the First Christian Church at Dover with Pastor Joe Stephon officiating. A luncheon will follow the service in the fellowship hall at the church.
