A. Lucille Patterson

A. Lucille Patterson, 95, of New Philadelphia passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Park Village Health Care Center in Dover.The only child of the late Franklin and Lucinda Ohler, she was born July 21, 1915, at home in Barnhill with Dr. Simon France attending. Lucille attended Midvale Grade School and Midvale High School and was 1933 graduate of Midvale High School. She attended Stafford Business School in New Philadelphia following high school graduation.On June 12, 1939, Lucille married H. Donald Patterson Sr. at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Dover. He died September 23, 1987.Her first employment was at Dunn’s Dodge & Plymouth Garage in Uhrichsville as an assistant bookkeeper. After some early child-rearing years, Lucille worked as an Avon Representative and was then employed at the Montgomery Ward stores in New Philadelphia and Dover’s Miracle Lane Plaza. Following ten years service, she ultimately retired from Daniel’s Dress Shop in New Philadelphia.Lucille is survived by her son, H. Donald Patterson Jr. and wife, Rosann Patterson of Dover, grandchildren Marne Jo (Brian) Brunner of Ravenna, and H. Donald “Chip” (Abbie) Patterson III of Dover. Other survivors are her great-grandchildren Samuel Brunner, Tobias Brunner, and Maxwell Patterson.There are no calling hours. Private family services will precede burial beside her husband at Dover Burial Park. Arrangements are being handled by the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.
